Introduction to Gentle Wishing
Each Gentle Wish is a starting point for a conversation with the Universe. Read the words as written, or reshape them until they match what you feel in your heart.
Imagine a serene valley known for a unique tradition that has been part of its culture for centuries: gentle wishing.
In this community, wishes are considered sacred whispers of the heart, a private conversation between the soul and the fabric of the universe. The people believe that every wish, when made, represents a delicate seed of intention that needs to be released with care and genuine gratitude.
When people in this town harbor a specific desire, they stand outside in nature with eyes closed and hearts open. They take a moment to feel the wish, to let it fill their being, taking care not to grasp it too tightly. They know that the intensity of longing—or the fear of not receiving—could scare the wish away.
When the moment feels right, they release the wish. As the wish disappears into nature, it settles into the loving embrace of the universe.
Within the village is a young girl named Sienna, whose belief in gentle wishing is unwavering. Over the years, she has wished for many things: a harvest of gorgeous apples, a songbird's return in spring and laughter in her home. Each wish she has seen come true, not because she clung to them, but because she trusted in the gentle balance of desire and release.
Sienna knows that to make a gentle wish is to believe in the unseen, to understand that we are all part of a greater whole, interconnected and interwoven. This sacred act of gentle wishing reinforces our connection to each other, to the world, and to the universe itself.
The practice of gentle wishing is a testament to the power of hope, the strength of faith, and the profound beauty of letting go.

The best news of all... you do not need to live in such a valley to practice gentle wishing.
I have been playing with the practice for many years. Sometimes, I mess it up by wanting too much for my wish to be granted. The practice should be fun, light and lovely. Give it a try and see for yourself. Read any of the Gentle Wishes in this section of the Intooition web site. Say them out loud, and then let them go. Change any words to match what you feel in your heart.
